It is not a group for any specific interest, it is for all interests!

The events this group hosts are left open for members to suggest and decide and schedule!

There are so many great things to do in Michigan right in our backyard, we just need a good excuse to "Get-Out-There" Michigan and do it!

Who schedules the events?

The group itself!  We've given the ability to all group members to set up a new meetup event with GOTMichigan!  Event organizers will assist with events as necessary to ensure it goes smoothly.  It's important for the group that members post suggested meetups to the site.

GOTMichigan caters to many different interests, which is why it is important for us to take member suggestions into consideration for organizing new events!

Once new events are suggested/created, they will be posted GOTMichigan.org and you will automatically receive a notification of a new scheduled event.

You can schedule and host your own GOTMichigan.org event on our site by clicking "Suggest a Meetup" on the main page.

What do we do?...One group fits all!

Donations

It is FREE to join the group...however we do ask that everyone pitches in a very small $1.50 annual donation to cover the costs for the meetup.com fees that we incur plus other associated fees with various activities we host.

YOUR DONATIONS ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED!  This will allow us to continue paying the membership dues to Meetup.com to retain our group.

Never done the Online Social Meeting thing?

The whole goal of this group is to build a group of friends and acquaintances to have fun, but...if a weirdo creeper member ever enters the mix it could be odd.

If there is any point where anyone is making you feel odd or uncomfortable, you should know that you can tell anyone on the leadership team for the group and we'll nip that in the butt right away and they will be kicked out of the group.  It's just all about meeting new people, making new friends, and having fun.  You should never feel uncomfortable, so let us know if that happens!
